About The Position

Join our team as a Pastry Chef de Partie for the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club! The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it’s sister properties include Montecito Club, San Ysidro Ranch, Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, Sandpiper Golf Club, Four Seasons New York and Las Ventanas al Paraíso in Los Cabos, Mexico. The Club’s distinction is driven by hiring and growing the very best associates available, who with the proper, enthusiastic attitude and attention to detail, take pride in their own efforts as well as the efforts from the team, and ensure members and their guest are provided with an exceptional experience. The Pastry Chef de Partie is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality baked goods, desserts, and specialty pastries for club members and guests. This role ensures exceptional presentation, taste, and consistency while maintaining high standards of sanitation, safety, and efficiency. The Pastry Chef de Partie collaborates with culinary leadership to enhance the club’s dining experience through creative and seasonal dessert offerings. This position is compensated at $27/hr DOE

Requirements

  • Culinary degree, pastry certification, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pastry production, preferably in fine dining, hotels, or private clubs.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert plating, and pastry production.
  • Creativity and passion for developing new dessert concepts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for handling kitchen tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty baked goods.
  • Develop and update dessert menus, including seasonal and event-specific offerings.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met for all pastry items.
  • Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order pastry ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Control food costs by minimizing waste and managing portion control.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and culinary team on menu development and special events.
  • Accommodate member dietary restrictions and special requests when possible.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workstations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
