About The Position

The Parts Technician reports to the Team Leader Logistics, and is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the parts department. This includes shipping and receiving, inventory control, and internal customer service. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing, storage, and distribution of parts and materials to support maintenance, sales, and other internal departments.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate has up to 3 years of relevant experience in parts, logistics, warehouse, or aviation support roles.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Relevant military logistics or supply experience accepted.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes preferred.
  • Hazmat handling or shipping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • FAA Repair Station Receiving Inspector
  • Receive, inspect, process, and route incoming shipments.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain required hazardous materials (Hazmat) shipping certifications and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Process invoicing and billing tasks as assigned.
  • Fulfill internal parts and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Track items sent to vendors for repair or service and follow up on overdue returns.
  • Process core and warranty parts for vendor return.
  • Coordinate parts location assignments and maintain proper organization and segregation of inventory.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
  • Open work orders and prepare estimates as backup support to the Service Administrator.
  • Monitor and track shelf-life-controlled inventory items.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station procedures, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and adhere to company values and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
