About The Position

General Summary: The Parts Specialist is responsible for procuring, maintaining, organizing, and distributing our inventory of parts and equipment. This position reports to the Bardstown office daily with occasional day travel in a company vehicle to complete assigned tasks. Essential Job Duties: Source and procure parts from vendors, ensuring best pricing and quality. Create, document, and maintain standardizations for parts and tools. Monitor/track inventory levels and ensure parts are available to meet business demands. Maintain accurate stock records, keep inventory organized, and audit inventory levels as needed. Identify, locate, and distribute parts needed for maintenance team. Set up/stage parts and equipment for maintenance team for the following day’s work orders. Assist with maintenance tasks as needed. Complete tasks safely and efficiently with an understanding of occupational hazards. Follow all company policies, laws, ordinances, and regulations involved in equipment operation. Minimum Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record. Have or willing to obtain a DOT medical card. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Knowledge of tools, materials, and practices related to facility construction and maintenance. Able to understand instructions and communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Professional appearance and a positive attitude. Team player, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance. Basic computer skills, including ability to use an iPad, Excel Spreadsheets, work order software, and locate parts online. Physical Requirements: This position typically works day shift Monday through Friday; but occasional nights, weekends, and holidays are required, including a rotating on-call schedule. Occasional overnight travel may be required. There may be prolonged periods of sitting in and/or driving a truck to job sites. May be subject to outside weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow. Must be able to operate all equipment associated with facility construction and maintenance. Must be able to perform heavy manual labor and effectively handle lifting objects up to 60lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb ladders on a regular basis.
