About The Position

Parts Counter Specialist Parts Specialists are responsible for helping customers find the parts they need and ensuring they have a positive experience while in the store. Must have the ability to quickly assess customer needs and offer accurate solutions. Performs a variety of customer service tasks, promoting, generating sales, stocking duties related to receiving, sale, and ordering of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the Parts Department. This position will also assist in helping with loss prevention of power equipment.

Requirements

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
  • The employee must lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds a minimum of 50% of the day
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must have the ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Must operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store
  • 18 years of age
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ability to lift up 94 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each customer is greeted and receives outstanding service
  • Answer phone calls
  • Ability to be professional, tactful and pleasant when dealing with customers
  • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions
  • Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain functionality of equipment
  • Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card
  • Effectively and professionally take care of issues regarding returned parts
  • Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by PE Manager
  • Assist in the training and development of peers
  • Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
  • Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized.
  • Alert management of any safety issues and suspected shoplifting activity
  • Aid Customers in locating other merchandise in the store, or Acenet, processing special orders, Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and practices
  • The role routinely may use but is not limited to computer, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines, pallet jackets, price guns, and RF guns
  • Take Inventory of parts
  • Other duties, as assigned
