About The Position

Florida Kenworth in Tampa is looking for a talented individual to take on the full-time Parts Specialist position! This position would be ideal for those who have prior sales experience, ability to work in a dealership environment, and are results driven. Responsibilities: Research, locate, and arrange installation for parts and accessories, including special-order parts Ensure customer orders are taken accurately by listening and clarifying requests, identifying automotive parts and offering alternative solutions Complete sales transactions by entering purchased items into the sales/inventory system, obtain payment and issuing receipts Primary Duties: Maintain parts inventory by verifying supplies, and placing orders when order-points are reached Secures, sorts and returns warranty parts and accessories Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and adjusting the inventory system Receive all returned items by inspecting the item, returning payment, re-package and re-shelve Maintain a safe and secure working environment by following safety and security standards and procedures Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities Ensure deliveries are promptly received and notifies customers accordingly Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school degree with automotive focus is preferred
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience in an automotive parts environment is preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, internet browsers)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift/move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8-12 hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
