Aspen is a growing business looking for people with energy, drive and passion to contribute to our team. The Parts Sales Specialist reports to the Parts Supervisor. The primary responsibilities of this person will be to write parts estimates/orders and handle complete processing of all orders while assisting customers and teammates in a professional manner in a Product Support facility.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment parts for truck/trailer preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and requests in a timely manner.
  • Able to work autonomously and uses good decision-making practices.
  • Problem solving ability and listening skills.
  • Excellent customer service mentality (internal and external).
  • Organizational and planning skills, experience managing equally important and competing priorities.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to keep data integrity through multiple transactions (verbal and data input).
  • Patient disposition and ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Able to identify procedure and process improvements and advise the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Basic accounting skills and knowledge of electronic payment systems.
  • Preference given to persons with previous experience in heavy equipment to include Truck/Trailer parts.
  • At least one year experience in customer service with over-the-counter sales, preferably in dealership or service setting environment.
  • Experience with orders and inventory in an ERP or database system.
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train in other areas of the department.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and Loader operation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process material transactions in ERP system.
  • Work with customers and technicians to fill parts requirements with general supervision.
  • Address customer needs and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain stock levels by assisting with purchasing requirements as needed to replenish consumables, complete work orders and fill customer orders.
  • Prepare invoices for all orders, initiate billing and receive payment for parts and services.
  • Perform Shipper / Receiver tasks.
  • Receive purchase orders electronically and physically.
  • Participate in Full Inventory and Cycle Counts.
  • Follow Aspen’s safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment when required, respond to suggestions for working safely and seek assistance when necessary. Ensure proper safety, care, and maintenance of company equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management related activities as directed by supervisor.
  • Keep current on new products and product updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
