About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-oriented Parts Sales Counterperson II to join their team. In this role, you will serve as the primary parts expert for customers needing to maintain and repair their equipment. You will engage with customers both in person at the counter and over the phone, ensuring they receive the correct parts promptly. Your daily tasks will involve actively identifying customer needs, providing recommendations, and locating complex or uncommon parts using product literature, specialized software, and your expert knowledge. The position emphasizes building trust and lasting relationships with clients by providing timely and accurate solutions and translating technical details into actionable parts support. Requirements

  • 3 or more years of parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Self-motivation and assertive drive.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person to sell company parts and other services.
  • Above-average organizational skills.
