Under the direction of the Aftermarket Manager, the Technical Support/Parts Sales Associate provides customer and field service support to assist in troubleshooting through phone, email, and text support, as well as specifying and selling repair parts for ovens, furnaces, and other related products.

Requirements

  • Salesforce (or other CRM programs).
  • Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and other subassemblies, as well as ability to read and identify components on mechanical and utility drawings/prints.
  • Epicor (or other ERP systems).
  • Effectively comprehend and respond promptly to external and internal customer needs and requests.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use telephone, fax machine, copy machine, scanner, and computer.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Heat Treat Equipment, process gasses, process control instrumentation, and PLC usage is desired.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Lean Office experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares quotes based on established prices or by contacting vendors to obtain costs and marking up as required.
  • Conducts research and shares information with service, manufacturing and purchasing to identify old or unknown parts to provide a viable solution to customers’ needs.
  • Interface with engineering, production, and materials in order to quote fabrication jobs.
  • Follows up with potential customers and secures orders.
  • Receive and review purchase orders.
  • Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules; investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database.
  • Tracks & processes back orders, notifying appropriate persons as to availability.
  • Respond to requests for information from internal departments, such as Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Fields complaints concerning billing or service rendered to designated departments for investigation.
  • Recommends services and/or preventive maintenance to customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform general clerical duties as requested.
  • Work with others as required to provide World Class Service to our customers.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Aftermarket Manager or other executives.
  • Comply with all housekeeping procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Good attendance is critical to performing this job well.
