About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Runner to support our Equipment & Resource team by ensuring timely pickup and delivery of parts and materials across our operations. The Parts Runner is responsible for picking up and delivering parts, tools, and operational materials as directed by the Equipment & Resource Manager. This role is critical in supporting maintenance and production teams by ensuring they receive the necessary parts quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, organized, comfortable driving a company vehicle throughout the workday, and able to manage routes and time effectively while adapting to changing priorities throughout the day.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle (non-take-home) and haul/back up trailers.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Strong route planning / time management skills and reliability.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day.
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in construction, mining, or industrial environments is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and materials as directed by the Equipment & Resource Manager.
  • Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively to meet delivery timelines.
  • Travel between vendors, plants, and job sites to ensure timely delivery of needed items.
  • Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and receipts.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while staying aligned with team priorities.
  • Communicate with the Equipment & Resource Assistant regarding order status and needs.
  • Adapt quickly to changing needs and problem-solve in real time to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Haul and safely maneuver trailers, including backing up trailers when required.
  • Ensure company vehicle is operated safely and kept clean and in good condition.
  • Support procurement operations by assisting with basic coordination and errands.
  • Follow all company safety policies and comply with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT standards.
  • Assist with organizing and staging parts when needed.
