Parts Runner
About The Position
The Parts Runner is responsible for transporting equipment and materials to job sites in a timely manner. When not delivering materials, provides support to warehouse operations by preparing, processing and moving inventory productively, safely, and accurately per established standard and guidelines. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Delivers or picks up equipment and materials to and from job sites, vendors or supply houses Processes inventory for deliveries to job sites Accountable for reading and pulling orders Provides support to warehouse by handling inbound merchandise from external vendors Moves inventory and materials across facilities with forklift or pallet jack Sorts, organizes, and stores inventory in the proper locations Reports damaged or missing inventory to supervisors Updates logs and documentation for inventory processing Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for all associates Identifies incorrect/short, shipped items and immediately notify supervisor Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety Other duties as assigned Duties may vary by location.
Requirements
- 1+ year prior Warehouse experience
- Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack
- Must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements through a MVR check
- Valid Driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience pulling a trailer preferred
