About The Position

Automotive Parts Manager Description Parts Manager Responsibilities: Assists all guest (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information. Replenishes assigned inventory daily. Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up. Assists outside sales representatives with their orders. Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order. Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received. Notifies the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered. Informs guests of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the guest is exposed to the full product line. Keep proper documentation as stipulated by manufacturer and general manager. Nurture enthusiastic work environment promoting teamwork with other departments. Build repeat/referral business by encouraging service/parts employees to nurture positive relationships with guests. Resolve customer complaints, enlisting manufacturer assistance when necessary. Handle warranty claims and processing, conforming to warranty guidelines. Explain warranty to the guest.. Develop programs or procedures to improve profitability. Attend manager meetings Participates in all training programs that are made available/ Other task assigned by General Manager. QualificationsRequirements Automotive Parts experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems Must have a valid driver’s license Demonstrated customer service skills Previous industry knowledge of overall operations, management and wholesale relations (preferred) Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
