About The Position

The Parts Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of parts operations supporting field service and workshop activities. This role ensures the availability, accuracy, and timely delivery of equipment components, consumables, and overhaul materials to meet operational uptime targets and commercial commitments. Serving as the primary Houston interface with global and regional parts organizations, the Parts Manager will oversee sourcing, inventory planning, logistics, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with company policies, HQ standards, and safety requirements. This position will be based in Houston, TX – onsite daily.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in parts management, supply chain, logistics or materials planning within the energy, power generation, industrial, or similar industry
  • Experience working with global supply chains and international HQ interfaces
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness
  • Proven experience coordinating cross‑functional teams in a complex, operational environment
  • Background in mechanical or technical disciplines with working knowledge of engine parts and systems; experience with natural gas compression engines is preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and parts master data management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as business demands
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legally authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

  • Strong knowledge of parts lifecycle management, inventory control, demand forecasting, and replenishment strategies
  • Familiarity with warranty processes, commercial controls, and invoicing support
  • Familiarity with global sourcing models, multi‑hub supply networks, and international logistics (shipping, customs, and transport)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including coordination with regional and global HQ counterparts

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and squatting, with the capability to handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end parts activities to ensure availability of components, consumables, and overhaul materials for field service and workshop operations
  • Serve as the primary Houston parts interface with the Parts Managers in Austria (HQ) and Wisconsin, aligning on priorities, supply constraints, and escalations
  • Coordinate global parts sourcing, lead times, and logistics across multiple supply hubs
  • Forecast parts demand using maintenance plans, overhaul schedules, and historical consumption data
  • Define and maintain min/max inventory levels and safety stock strategies to support uptime targets
  • Monitor critical and long-lead components and proactively escalates risks to operations and work preparation teams
  • Oversee ordering, replenishment, and expediting of parts in line with operational needs and commercial controls
  • Ensure accuracy of parts master data, pricing, and lead times within internal systems
  • Support quotation and commercial teams by providing parts pricing, availability, and delivery commitments
  • Collaborates cross‑functionally to align priorities and ensure parts for major interventions are planned and secured in advance
  • Manage warranty related parts returns, replacements, and claims in coordination with HQ and suppliers
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of satellite storage locations
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including delivery, quality, and responsiveness
  • Coordinate domestic and international logistics, including shipping, customs, and transport requirements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HQ standards, and safety requirements for parts handling and storage
  • Support invoicing readiness by ensuring accurate parts issuance, documentation, and traceability
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, approved alternative sourcing options, and process improvements
  • Provide regular reporting on inventory levels, availability, shortages, obsolescence, and key KPIs
  • Ensure all critical non‑Jenbacher parts are assigned internal part numbers and stocked
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity
