About The Position

Worldwide Equipment Sales (WWE), a division of Pritchard Companies, is a leading distributor of towing and recovery equipment, heavy‑duty truck parts, and custom upfitting solutions. Our Illinois location serves as a critical operational hub supporting customers, service teams, and equipment sales. We are seeking a Parts Manager to lead the daily operations of our parts department. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys being directly involved in inventory, purchasing, counter activity, and customer support while driving strong financial and operational performance.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of parts experience, preferably in heavy‑duty, towing, trucking, or automotive environments.
  • Prior experience as a Parts Manager, Lead Parts Specialist, or in a senior parts role.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, pricing, and vendor relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands‑on alongside a team and lead by example.
  • Comfort being actively involved in daily counter and operational work.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency with parts and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and actively participate in all day‑to‑day parts department operations.
  • Support parts counter activity, order processing, and customer issue resolution.
  • Oversee inventory levels, purchasing, stocking strategies, and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Own parts pricing, margins, and revenue performance for the Illinois location.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, OEMs, and suppliers; negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Lead, train, and develop parts team members while setting clear expectations and driving accountability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including sales performance, inventory turns, obsolescence, and fill rates.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Collaborate closely with Service and Sales teams to support customers and internal workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer‑ready parts department.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations.
