We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing family business. Installs and services Transport Refrigeration Units and Auxiliary Powered Units in trucks and/or trailers. Conducts equipment inspections and performs diagnostic tests to determine unit readiness and/or deficiencies. Performs installs, repairs, adjustments and replacement of refrigeration components, such as compressors, engines, coils, and electrical systems. Enhances service department and organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing work that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Summary Direct the planning and operations of the parts for all assigned service locations. Have leadership at the assigned location(s). Lead initiatives to assure that the inventory is accurate and levels are appropriate to the current business need. Initiate daily contact with each supervisor at the service locations to make sure their needs are met so the repair operation runs smoothly. Enhances organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing work that meets and exceeds customer expectations

Requirements

  • Highly self-motivated individual who can function under little supervison.
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and a willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and follow up. 24 Hours max
  • Active listening, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prioritize, plan and organize parts ordering and inventory processes.
  • Must be able to muti-task and manage time to meet geographic locations needs.
  • Travel is about 10% of the job.
  • Lifting parts up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders.
  • Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperature extremes.
  • Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting daily parts usage, ordering appropriate parts and equipment through computer software systems e.g. Fusion. Assure that Process are in place to handle business changes.
  • Tracking daily use of parts and receiving of orders via Karmak Fusion software.
  • Ensuring PO’s are created to company policies
  • Nurturing and maintaining relationships with company’s vendors and suppliers.
  • Assures inventory team is performing accurately, on time, with minimal OT
  • Ensuring each location is properly stocked and removing obsolete parts as deemed necessary.
  • Manage Red-label orders and assure instances are minimized by reviewing stocking items.
  • Place and invoice drop-ship orders.
  • Parts inventory receiving.
  • Special orders for service and sales departments.
  • Stocking reviews and order point control for all assigned branches.
  • Assures parts database for region is maintained and accurate.
  • Assures all assigned reports are to complaince.
  • Document and plan reduced pricing from vendors.
  • Review cycle counts. Assures excess adjustments are documented and reported.
  • Obsolete parts analysis.
  • Branch inventory valuation control.
  • File freight claims.
  • Manage and maintain customer consignments.
  • Manage Cycle Counts for Trucks 2x per year and warehouses on a ongoing basis.
  • Assures sales team is satisfied by good communication and readiness for new unit installs.
