About The Position

Sterling Ford Lincoln in Opelousas, LA is seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Parts Department! The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of automotive parts management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. This role is essential to ensuring the efficiency and profitability of our service and repair operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automotive parts management or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the Parts Department including inventory management, parts ordering, and staff supervision
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, track parts usage, and perform regular stock audits
  • Ensure timely and accurate ordering and receiving of parts
  • Monitor and maintain profitability through pricing, stock control, and minimizing obsolescence
  • Manage a team of parts counter staff and drivers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to fulfill internal parts requests
  • Work with wholesale and retail customers to identify parts needs
  • Ensure department meets or exceeds performance and sales goals
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the department
  • Stay current on manufacturer programs and policies
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
