About The Position

The Parts Lead is responsible for overseeing daily parts operations, supporting technicians, assisting customers, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate parts flow throughout the shop. This role is ideal for someone organized, reliable, and ready to own a fast-paced parts environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in parts, warehouse, automotive parts, diesel parts, truck/trailer parts, logistics, or inventory control (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math skills for pricing, inventory, and warranty processing
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and handle frequent standing/walking
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience a plus (training/certification available)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook and learning internal systems

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department
  • Receive, stock, and track inventory using our MAS inventory system
  • Assist customers at the parts counter, by phone, and via email
  • Pick, distribute, and record parts for technicians and service orders
  • Handle warranty parts submissions for manufacturer credit
  • Serve as cashier for C.O.D. sales (cash, check, credit/debit)
  • Load/unload trailers using a forklift (we will certify you if needed)
  • Deliver parts to customers and vendors; pick up special orders as needed
  • Assemble A/C hoses, parts kits, and OEM product builds
  • Support shipping & receiving: boxing parts, creating labels, preparing shipments
  • Participate in annual physical inventory and ongoing cycle counts
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as needed
