About The Position

Position supports the manufacturing process. As parts complete a required operation, the Parts Expeditor will deliver them to the next operation/department. Other duties include general plant support.

Requirements

Follow written and verbal instructions, as well as work with limited supervision
Work in a safe and conscientious manner; adhere to safety rules
Ability to pay close attention to detail on all learned skills
Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to co-workers and supervision
Must be able to learn and understand the manufacturing process.
Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
Ability to learn and operate forklift
Must have valid Driver License and safe driving record
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Oregon Driver License
Seeing: Must be able to read reports and use computer: job requirement: 50-74%
Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers in loud environment: job requirement: 75-100%
Mobility: must be able to stand, operate machines; mobility between departments and to attend meetings or employees and managers: job requirement: 75-100%
Climbing/ stooping/ kneeling: job requirement: 75-100%
Lifting/ pulling/ pushing (ability to lift to 35lbs): job requirement: 75-100%
Repetitive motion with hands: job requirement: 75-100%

Responsibilities

Verify parts by matching the part number stamped on the part with the paperwork that corresponds to the part
Pick up and deliver parts and paperwork from one department to another as directed by the paperwork known as a part traveler
Drive parts from one location to another using company provided vehicle/truck
Perform sandblast and shot blast of casting by operating sand and shot blast equipment
Remove contents of department dumpsters to main dumpster outdoors by use of forklift
Participate in 6S activities
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
