Requirements

  • Must have at least two(2) years of experience working with calipers, bore gauges and micrometers
  • Minimum of two(2) years of previous mechanical maintenance experience. (Preferred: Previous aircraft technician and landing gear experience will be considered first)
  • High school diploma or an equivalent
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic arithmetic
  • Coordination
  • Critical thinking
  • Manual dexterity
  • Near vision
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Arm-hand steadiness
  • This position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
  • Must Successfully complete a comprehensive background check

Nice To Haves

  • Previous aircraft technician and landing gear experience will be considered first

Responsibilities

  • Examine and evaluate landing gear components to locate any damage
  • Read and interpret technical data and blueprints
  • Utilize various measuring equipment both manual and digital
  • Will use a computer or other electronic device, or manually write down measurements taken
  • Follow instructions per the component maintenance manuals(CMM)
  • Document work performed
  • Maintain an organized work space
  • May occasionally be required to work overtime including evenings or weekends as necessary to meet deadlines
