Parts Evaluator (Levels I and II)

Requirements
- Must have at least two(2) years of experience working with calipers, bore gauges and micrometers
- Minimum of two(2) years of previous mechanical maintenance experience. (Preferred: Previous aircraft technician and landing gear experience will be considered first)
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- Proficient in the English language
- Attention to detail
- Basic arithmetic
- Coordination
- Critical thinking
- Manual dexterity
- Near vision
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Arm-hand steadiness
- This position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
- Must Successfully complete a comprehensive background check
Nice To Haves
- Previous aircraft technician and landing gear experience will be considered first
Responsibilities
- Examine and evaluate landing gear components to locate any damage
- Read and interpret technical data and blueprints
- Utilize various measuring equipment both manual and digital
- Will use a computer or other electronic device, or manually write down measurements taken
- Follow instructions per the component maintenance manuals(CMM)
- Document work performed
- Maintain an organized work space
- May occasionally be required to work overtime including evenings or weekends as necessary to meet deadlines
