About The Position

FESCO is seeking an experienced and hands-on Parts Direct Manager to lead all parts operations supporting food equipment and field service technicians. This role is essential to keeping service calls moving, reducing equipment downtime, and ensuring technicians have the right parts at the right time.

Requirements

  • Experience in parts or inventory management within food equipment, refrigeration, or service-based operations
  • Strong understanding of service parts and urgency of field service support
  • Experience managing inventory systems, purchasing, and returns
  • Strong leadership, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication skills with technicians, vendors, and management
  • Comfortable with data entry and inventory software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
  • Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily customer service and parts sales operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
  • Supervise Parts Sales Associates and Team Leads; provide coaching, training, and performance development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support career development within the Parts department.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Ensure staff adherence to company policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
  • Direct and drive inside sales, outside sales, and e-commerce efforts for Parts Direct.
  • Monitor customer activity, revenue, and gross margins; analyze trends and recommend operational or program adjustments as needed.
  • Support growth initiatives through proactive sales management and customer engagement.
  • Partner with Credit & Collections to resolve disputes, manage past-due accounts, and ensure compliance with company credit policies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and system updates.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and warehouse organization.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse personnel to ensure timely product availability.
  • Identify and implement improvements in inventory control, warehouse layout, and service support workflows.
  • Ensure operational processes support efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints, escalations, and service-related concerns.
  • Ensure customer inquiries and orders are handled in an accurate, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
  • Prepare and manage the annual department budget to promote efficiency, cost control, and profitability.
  • Make decisions that impact financial performance, operational effectiveness, and company reputation.
  • Plan and execute departmental goals using sound judgment and experience.
  • Follow and enforce safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and understand company health and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
