About The Position

Parts Delivery Driver makes deliveries on a daily basis and processes paperwork necessary for recording deliveries, pick-ups, and returns. The delivery of parts is time-sensitive and the Parts Delivery Driver is crucial to the operation of the Parts department, whether they are picking up parts for shop jobs or delivering parts to customers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily. Works closely with the Parts and Service department to ensure technicians and customers have the required parts Checks the Parts Delivery bin throughout the day and loads the delivery truck in the order parts are to be delivered Ensures each part to be delivered has a corresponding invoice Delivers parts to the shop and customers on a daily basis Picks-up and returns cores and warranty parts, along with the necessary paperwork Unload all cores and put them in the core bins Processes paperwork necessary for recording deliveries/pick-ups Safeguards parts during transit and ensures zero damage Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor towards customers and co-workers Available to respond to emergency pick-up and delivery after hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Need to pass a DOT physical to obtain a DOT health card to operate a commercial vehicle
Written and verbal communication skills
Reads and understands reference books and complicated procedures and manuals
Basic computer skills
Excellent customer service skills
Apply good judgment in recognizing scope of authority
Ability to prioritize multiple part pick-ups and deliveries
Punctual and makes no delays in deliveries
Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Prepared to work in any traffic, weather, and timing according to the Company’s business needs
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more as needed

Responsibilities

Works closely with the Parts and Service department to ensure technicians and customers have the required parts
Checks the Parts Delivery bin throughout the day and loads the delivery truck in the order parts are to be delivered
Ensures each part to be delivered has a corresponding invoice
Delivers parts to the shop and customers on a daily basis
Picks-up and returns cores and warranty parts, along with the necessary paperwork
Unload all cores and put them in the core bins
Processes paperwork necessary for recording deliveries/pick-ups
Safeguards parts during transit and ensures zero damage
Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor towards customers and co-workers
