About The Position

Occupational Summary: Responsible for the sale of parts to all available customers over the counter, through the shop or on the phone. Pay Structure: This position is an hourly plus commission based position that, yearly, ranges between $40,000 - $50,000 / year Hours: Full-time, 3 day rotating schedule : 7:30AM - 9:00PM (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for one month and then Thursday/Friday/Saturday for the next month)

Requirements

  • Previous Automotive Parts experience within a dealership or retail setting
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards
  • Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate smart phone, tablet and/or PC.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
  • Pull purchased parts from stock.
  • If the part is not in stock, determine availability and projected delivery date.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Assist outside sales representatives (ie: wholesalers) with their orders.
  • Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repair process.
  • Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person.
  • Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
  • Replenish assigned inventory daily.
  • Advise parts manager when areas of the department are not in satisfactory condition.
  • Keep current on new products and product updates.
  • Participate in all training programs that are made available.
  • SOP management- ensure that special orders are placed, status checked daily and customers are promptly contacted.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers
