About The Position
The Wyler Collection, BMW is seeking a Full time Parts Counterperson for their BMW Store in Dublin, OH. This role is crucial to the company's vision of developing and maintaining trust with customers to build long-term relationships. The Parts Counterperson will be responsible for assisting all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts, providing price quotes, handling phone calls, pulling and filling orders from stock, managing out-of-stock and back-ordered parts, replenishing inventory, and maintaining a professional appearance.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers and dealership management systems.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- All applicants must demonstrate the ability to pass a pre-employment testing, including a background check, MVR, and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably someone with some European branded parts experience
- Previous automotive parts counter experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock.
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
- Follows up on back-ordered parts.
- Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
