Serve customers by identifying parts needs and processing orders promptly. Visualize and interpret customer requests accurately, including complex parts inquiries. Manage automatic backorders and ensure correct processing. Greet customers in person and by phone courteously and professionally. Refer customers to appropriate departments when necessary. Maintain knowledge of vendor items, mark-up, and freight charges. Collaborate with co-workers and contribute to a positive team environment. Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, employees must be careful while performing onsite services.
