BMW of Tigard has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Counter Person to join their team! We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Parts Counter Person to assist service technicians and team members in finding the appropriate accessories and order parts for repairs and upgrades to consumer vehicles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of experience in automotive parts department highly preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers, technicians and sales consultants with their auto parts questions and needs, either in person or via the telephone
  • Handle cash and other purchasing transactions
  • Operate the electronic and paper cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information
  • Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
  • Maintain stock of the parts department by assisting with shipping and receiving and will maintain the parts database
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times
