The Parts Clerk is responsible for identifying and providing parts to maintenance or production personnel. This role requires the employee to utilize several computer systems to search work orders, issue parts/materials, and find additional information related to parts or situations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D certificate
• Basic understanding Mechanical and/or Electrical parts knowledge
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy objects and/or machine parts with or without assistance
• Ability to work with scanning equipment and online software

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Inventory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal departments to accurately assess customer needs and establish parts priority
• Assist with the unloading, receiving, and verification of materials and parts
• Accurately identify parts and coordinate with appropriate personnel or departments for material pickup and distribution
• Properly store and organize materials in designated inventory locations
• Research historical inventory movements, locations, and transfers to determine root causes of discrepancies or issues
• Contribute to the development and implementation of corrective actions related to inventory control
• Conduct inventory audits at defined intervals to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the stock management system
• Provide support to other parts personnel and on-campus warehouse locations to ensure efficient service to internal customers
