About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Parts Clerk to manage daily operations within the parts room. This role involves receiving, organizing, and distributing parts and materials, maintaining accurate inventory records for diesel engine and transmission components, and ordering parts to support shop operations. The Parts Clerk will also be responsible for researching and sourcing vendors for optimal pricing and quality, monitoring stock levels, verifying part specifications, and ensuring a clean and efficient parts storage system. Collaboration with mechanics and maintenance staff is essential to supply correct parts for repairs and projects.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a parts room, shop, or industrial maintenance environment
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine parts and transmission systems
• Experience with inventory control and purchasing processes
• Ability to research suppliers and negotiate or compare pricing for cost efficiency
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and ordering systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in part identification and ordering

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations within the parts room, including receiving, organizing, and distributing parts and materials
• Maintain accurate inventory records for diesel engine and transmission components
• Order parts as needed and ensure timely procurement to support shop operations
• Research and source parts vendors to obtain the best pricing, quality, and service
• Monitor stock levels and proactively replenish inventory to avoid downtime
• Verify part numbers, specifications, and compatibility for diesel and heavy equipment applications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts storage system
• Collaborate with mechanics and maintenance staff to ensure correct parts are supplied for repairs and projects
