About The Position

As the Parts Backorder Analyst, you will assist with backorder sourcing and expediting requests. This position is responsible for acting as a liaison between Caterpillar Parts Operations and Yancey Bros. Co. as needed on various communications including parts escalations, sourcing confirmations, and logistics arrangements.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate information in an understandable, clear and concise method.
  • Must be able to ask questions, answer questions, and properly respond to questions for individuals and groups including managers and customers in a professional and comfortable manner.
  • Knowledge of office computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Candidate must be very organized and detail oriented; job entails time sensitive tasks; must be proficient with planning and prioritizing workload.
  • Job is a high volume, high output role.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific industry experienced desired or an equivalent college degree.
  • Some parts or service experience a plus.
  • Previous inventory control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Parts Counter employees and other personnel with backorder sourcing
  • Assist with expediting requests from Parts Counter employees and other personnel
  • Act as a liaison between Caterpillar Parts Operations and Yancey Bros as needed on various communications including parts escalations, sourcing confirmations, and logistics arrangements
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Inventory Control Manager which may include inventory control functions
  • Other duties as assigned and qualified
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager
