About The Position

- The Parts Assistant at Team Chevrolet of Swansboro is responsible for supporting the Parts Department in ensuring the efficient operation and organization of parts inventory, assisting customers with their parts inquiries, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an automotive parts department or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to parts inventory and ordering.
  • Ability to lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling parts and documentation.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to provide helpful and knowledgeable assistance to customers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems and parts catalogs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and organization of parts inventory, ensuring accurate labeling and storage.
  • Support the Parts Manager in ordering, receiving, and stocking parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their parts inquiries, identifying the correct parts needed, and processing orders efficiently.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of parts required for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts department, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Utilize the dealership's inventory management system to track parts sales and inventory levels accurately.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Support the Parts Manager in developing and implementing strategies to improve parts department efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager to support the overall success of the dealership.
