About The Position

As a Parts and Inventory coordinator at Alaska Marine Trucking in Anchorage, you would be responsible for managing inventory levels, ordering inventory, receiving inventory, organizing storage, tracking inventory movements, analyzing inventory data, and collaborating with other departments. Your role would be crucial in ensuring that the company has the right amount of parts and materials to meet operational needs while avoiding excess inventory that can tie up cash and warehouse space. By maintaining accurate inventory levels, you would contribute to the company's ability to meet customer demand, control costs, and maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Individuals must meet the requirements to obtain Brake Inspector Certification per FMCSR §396.25 and Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector Certification per §396.19.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with co-workers, supervisors and managers, to understand procedures and warning signs and or markings in the English language, to respond to inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
