About The Position

Tropic helps companies save millions on software by providing proprietary intelligence on pricing benchmarks, negotiation strategies, and supplier capabilities. As software spend becomes one of the largest and least-optimized cost centers for modern businesses, Tropic is building the software supplier intelligence platform that finance and procurement leaders rely on to make better decisions—and drive real ROI. This is Tropic’s first dedicated partnerships hire. You’ll play a foundational role in building and shaping how Tropic works with external partners to drive growth. Your mission is simple but challenging: Get Tropic in front of the right partners, keep us top of mind, and turn those relationships into real customer introductions. You’ll work closely with Tropic’s founders and leadership team to define partner strategy, test different partnership models, and build repeatable motions across key ecosystems. Requirements

  • 2–6 years experience in VC / PE, BD, sales, or consulting
  • Comfort engaging senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Thrives in ambiguity and early-stage environments

Nice To Haves

  • Finance, procurement, or IT experience
  • PE-backed company exposure
  • Early-stage startup experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and leadership to identify target partners and target accounts
  • Manage partner relationships and partner comms to attract, engage and turn partners into a consistent and repeatable pipeline source
  • Communicate Tropic’s value proposition clearly to partners and enable their teams as well as Tropics teams on the shared value of our partnership
  • Build trusted partner relationships by attending/hosting events, recruiting and nurturing relationships
  • Own a pipeline target and generate qualified leads and introductions
  • Set KPIs, track partner and report on activity and pipeline
  • Help define the early partnerships playbook - including defining partner tiers and types, core strategies and messaging
  • Develop and run partner enablement, content and plays
