About The Position

The Partnerships and Programs Manager manages a dedicated caseload of company-sponsored projects for Gen Bus 410 (Business Solutions Capstone), a required undergraduate capstone course at the Wisconsin School of Business. The role leads project scoping conversations with external partners to define scope, assess fit and feasibility, and ensure alignment with course objectives and student capabilities. The Partnerships and Programs Manager facilitates sponsor onboarding, coordinates event and milestone activities, administers and analyzes sponsor surveys, and serves as a primary point of contact to ensure a consistent, high-quality sponsor experience throughout the semester. In addition, the Partnerships and Programs Manager supports operational execution of the course, including coordinating project readiness each semester and managing key academic administrative functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in client relationship management, corporate partnerships, consulting, or program management, or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Foundational knowledge of core business functions and terminology sufficient to engage confidently with corporate partners
  • Experience in education, business, or corporate partnerships
  • Experience in defining scope and deliverables for business projects
  • Experience in corporate communication with stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Master’s Degree in business, education or related field Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates existing academic program strategy and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program enhancement
  • Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and academic program objectives
  • Assists stakeholders with preparing and/or maintaining documentation, financial management, and/or reporting requirements related to sponsored grants, contracts, or agreements
  • Serves as the liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups to identify and maintain academic program-related partnerships
  • May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
  • Leads the development and implementation of academic program initiatives
  • May manage the unit budget and approve unit expenditures
  • Manages degree programs and/or certificates, high impact practice programming and events, and curriculum development and implementation
