Position Summary : The Partner Recruiting Manager is a key member of the firm’s Partner Recruiting & Integration team, responsible for managing significant lateral partner recruiting initiatives, primarily for the New York office and other locations as assigned. Collaborating closely with the Director of Partner Recruiting and Integration, fellow team members, and firm leaders, the Manager drives targeted search assignments, leverages market intelligence, and partners with recruiting agencies to attract top talent. The Manager also oversees candidate due diligence, coordinates stakeholder communications, and works cross-functionally to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment, with prior experience in attorney recruiting, lateral partner recruiting strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and prioritization.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the firm.
  • Sound judgment, strategic insight, and adaptability in managing multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Partner Recruiting and Integration, other department members, firm leaders, and business services professionals to manage all phases of lateral partner recruiting.
  • Assist in developing and refining candidate pipelines through market intelligence, competitor monitoring, and proactive outreach.
  • Partner with recruiting agencies to source, map, and strategize recruitment approaches within designated practice areas, regions, or industries.
  • Support development and maintenance of recruiting dashboards and regular reporting metrics.
  • Provide data-driven insights and ensure data integrity in applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.
  • Manage all phases of lateral partner recruiting for the New York office, and other locations as assigned, ensuring timely and effective communication with candidates, recruiting agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee candidate due diligence for all lateral partner candidates and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure thorough evaluation and risk management.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with leadership and other stakeholders throughout each candidate’s recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with Attorney Resources, Professional Development, Marketing and Business Development, Practice Group Management teams to ensure seamless and best-in-class preparations for onboarding and integration.
  • Provide regular status updates on candidate processes, issues, and timing to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of the broader lateral partner recruitment team, including mentoring, coaching, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture as directed by the Director.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and promote the adoption of technology (candidate mapping, applicant tracking systems, project management tools, AI) to increase efficiency.
  • Maintains standards of excellence and takes a best-practice approach to all projects and processes, prioritizing both firm and candidate experience.
  • Maintain a strong relationship orientation and service mindset, responding to the needs of partners and colleagues with professionalism and discretion.
