About The Position

The Partner Operations Specialist manages the day-to-day operational performance of ClearStar’s background screening data partners and third-party service providers. This role owns execution across SLA management, partner cost reconciliation, routing oversight, and PBSA-compliant documentation. The Specialist serves as a reliable operational point of contact for partners and internal teams, escalating strategically while resolving the majority of issues independently.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in vendor operations, partner management, or a similar operational role in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage SLAs, monitor partner performance, and resolve operational issues without routine oversight
  • Experience with cost reconciliation, fee schedule management, or invoicing coordination
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple partners and workstreams simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working within operational or vendor management systems
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free with access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day task.

Nice To Haves

  • Background screening or CRA industry experience is strongly preferred; familiarity with PBSA compliance standards and court access fee structures is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ClearStar's background screening data partners, managing communications, issue resolution, and performance escalations across data quality, service delivery, and fulfillment
  • Own partner routing end to end, including queue monitoring, outage coordination, and rerouting execution in partnership with Operations and Technology
  • Track partner performance against SLAs, turnaround standards, and quality benchmarks; maintain a consistent reporting cadence so leadership has visibility into partner health
  • Reconcile partner cost structures, fee schedules, and court access surcharges against configured pricing and customer invoicing; resolve discrepancies independently with Finance and the relevant partner
  • Maintain audit-ready partner files including contracts, SLAs, insurance certificates, and fee schedules in accordance with PBSA recordkeeping requirements
  • Own operational playbooks and partner onboarding documentation as living assets, proactively identifying gaps and driving updates that improve consistency and audit readiness
