About The Position

Responsible for developing and sustaining strategic partnerships with industry, community organizations, and workforce stakeholders to expand high-quality, career-connected work-based learning opportunities for CTE students. This role serves as a critical bridge between education and industry, aligning academic programs with workforce needs to create meaningful pathways from high school to postsecondary education, apprenticeships, and careers. Lead the development of work-based learning opportunities including internships, apprenticeships, job shadows, and industry-sponsored projects, while also collaborating closely with educators to integrate real-world experiences into CTE pathways. This position also supports program growth by securing industry engagement in advisory committees, guest speaking, and program development.

Requirements

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Master’s degree in education or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional teaching experience
  • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) secondary teaching license
  • Ability to obtain Secondary CTE Work-based Learning Coordinator Credential within six (6) months of hire
  • Colorado driver’s license
  • Strong presentation skills across various settings
  • Experience establishing partnerships with business and industry
  • Experience organizing groups, coordinating activities, and supervising projects with an emphasis on innovation and student achievement
  • Advanced knowledge of Colorado Career and Technical Education
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills

  • Understanding of district wide CTE programing/certifications and its alignment to workforce needs.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit industry partners to establish and expand work-based learning (WBL) opportunities for CTE students, including but not limited to apprenticeships, internships, job shadows, and industry-sponsored projects.
  • Manage and maintain processes and procedures for tracking and documenting industry partnership engagement and WBL placements.
  • Lead the formation, development, and maintenance of new and existing industry partnerships to support student achievement.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on integrating industry partnerships into the classroom and techniques to expand industry engagement.
  • Design and implement scalable partnership models that can be replicated across programs and different school-based sites.
  • Collaborate with teachers to inform program design based on industry trends and partner feedback.
  • Collaborate with CTE teachers to recruit and secure industry representation on CTE advisory committees.
  • Represent the CCSD WBL at industry events, conferences, and community engagements to promote programs and expand partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with all industry and district colleagues, ensuring collective and collaborative support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
