This position develops the vision, supervision, leadership, and implementation of the Multilingual Education Program. It involves coordination of district-wide program implementation, evaluation, training, and learning development. The role fosters collaborative relationships with district departments, schools, and outside agencies. It assists with interpreting and administering all local, state, and federal statutes, rules, and policies pertaining to multilingual learner programming. Additionally, it supports the day-to-day operations of the department, including making data-driven decisions, supporting coaching, instruction, and program implementation, hiring and selecting staff, evaluating certified and classified staff, coordinating state assessments, and prioritizing the needs and welfare of students.
