About The Position

The Stuckeman School in the College of Arts and Architecture is seeking a part-time student communications intern for the 2026-27 academic year. This writing-intensive position will support the school’s Marketing and Communications Office and will require 12-14 hours per week, starting at $14 per hour.

Requirements

• Solid writing, reporting, and interviewing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable, flexible, and organized
• Solid oral communications skills
• Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability
• Must be a third- or fourth-year journalism or public relations student enrolled in the Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State
• Must have at the very least successfully completed the writing course COMM 260W

Nice To Haves

• Courses in advanced writing and editing

Responsibilities

• Researching and writing feature stories and news releases on school people, programs, alumni, and accomplishments
• Crafting social media posts to promote those stories
