About The Position

Please note that this is a part time position with up to 29 hours a week depending on scheduling. Role: To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

Requirements

  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
  • Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.
  • Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time in one area

Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and official checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Implement the Credit Union's member experience process by cross-selling the Credit Union's services, providing routine information and directing members to appropriate departments for specific information and services.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Complete continuing education as needed with any and all assigned training.
  • Responsible for scanning all appropriate work daily.
  • Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and associates.
  • Fulfill the Teller Standards as required.
  • Accurately post transactions, having fewer than 3 unresolved posting errors in a 30 day period.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the member.
  • Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
  • Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
