About The Position

The Part Time Teller at Americas First Federal Credit Union is responsible for providing quality service to members while conducting front-line financial transactions. This role emphasizes exceptional member service, accuracy in cash handling, and adherence to credit union procedures. The position is part-time, requiring work on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Requirements

• One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
• 6 months of cash handling experience preferred.
• A high school education or GED is required.
• Ability to use a ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.
• Good attention to detail for handling numbers and names.
• Demonstrates good judgment in evaluating identities, accounts, checks, and currency.
• Ability to use an online computer system and organize transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Sells consignment items, cashier checks, and travelers checks to members.
• Transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and may handle safety deposit rental income.
• Balances cash drawer and daily transactions, notifying the Head Teller of any discrepancies.
• Posts transactions to member accounts and maintains member records in accordance with established procedures.
• Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services, directing them to appropriate departments as needed.
• Prepares Currency Transaction Reports and reports suspicious activity for Head Teller's review.
• Cross-sells Credit Union services.
• Processes night drop and ATM deposits.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
