About The Position

The Wistar Institute has an opening for a part-time technician to join the laboratory of Dr. Bin Tian. The successful candidate will have two major responsibilities: 1) under PI’s guidance, administer basic lab functions including purchasing, material organization, and maintaining lab records; and 2) assist in molecular and cellular biology experiments. The experimental work will involve molecular cloning, mammalian cell culture and quantitative analysis of RNA and protein. The Tian lab uses interdisciplinary approaches to study RNA biogenesis and metabolism in a variety of systems, including inflammation, immunity, and cancer. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience in molecular and cellular biology
  • Good communication and organization skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with generation of stable cell lines using lentivirus and genome engineering using CRISPR/Cas9 is highly desirable.
