About The Position

This role is for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a flexible, part-time position with a dedicated local home care provider in the Griffin area. The nurse will serve clients in their homes, focusing on patient care without the demanding hours of a full-time hospital setting. It is an ideal position for a seasoned or retired nurse who wishes to maintain a connection to patient care, mentor others, and act as a key supervisor and educator for home health aides. The position involves the admission and ongoing monitoring of home care clients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Nurses benefit from exceptional flexibility, setting their own schedules for client visits (5-12+ every two weeks), with optional office hours (8-20 hours per week) available in the Griffin office. The role emphasizes making a meaningful local impact by helping clients maintain their independence and health at home.

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Georgia LPN or RN licensure (an active license is required)
• Commitment to scheduling and visiting a minimum of 10 clients per month
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are a must
• Current CPR certification
• Current TB
• A background check is required

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Completing initial assessments and developing individualized nursing care plans
• Conducting supervisory visits to monitor clients' progress and overall well-being
• Providing essential supervision, guidance, and education to our nursing assistants, clients, and their families on topics like infection, accident, and injury prevention
• Communicating with the RN Supervisor regarding any changes to the Plan of Care
• Documenting your visits in a timely manner (written or electronic reports)
