About The Position

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated local home care provider in the Augusta area. The role is ideal for seasoned or retired nurses seeking to maintain a connection to patient care without the demanding hours of a full-time hospital setting. The position offers exceptional flexibility, allowing the nurse to set their own schedule for client visits (5-12+ every two weeks). Optional office hours (8 to 20 hours per week) are available in the Augusta office for those seeking additional work. The role focuses on making a meaningful local impact by helping clients maintain independence and health at home, and values the expertise of veteran nurses, offering a chance to mentor and supervise home health aides.

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Georgia LPN or RN licensure (an active license is required)
• Commitment to scheduling and visiting a minimum of 10 clients per month
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are a must
• Current CPR certification
• Current TB
• A background check is required

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Completing initial assessments and developing individualized nursing care plans
• Conducting supervisory visits to monitor clients' progress and overall well-being
• Providing essential supervision, guidance, and education to nursing assistants, clients, and their families on topics like infection, accident, and injury prevention
• Communicating with the RN Supervisor regarding any changes to the Plan of Care
• Documenting visits in a timely manner (written or electronic reports)
