About The Position

Definition and Primary Objective: Oversee high value programs that fully utilize administrative and educational leadership though quality staffing. Use core knowledge, competencies and partnerships that align with Learning Grove standards. Primary Responsibilities and Tasks: Program Management and Oversight Support Supervisor in overseeing high quality programming through administrative and educational leadership. Supervise and evaluation direct service staff, enrichment providers and volunteers. Provide ratio coverage as needed. KY: Act as sub for regional sites. KY: Provide support to multiple regional sites. Support site teams in understanding and maintaining high quality ratings from STARS, Step Up to Quality, and national accreditation as eligible. Oversee a plan to offer high-quality physical space for children. Ensure utilization of best practices and positive discipline techniques. Ensure curriculum is being implemented in a manner that supports the intellectual and social-emotional development of each child. Grant Funded Sites: Engage site team in developing project-based quality curriculum including connection with community partners. Develop and implement best practices with partnerships. Carry out and model Learning Grove’s Vision, Mission and Philosophy Administration and Fiscal Responsibility Complete tasks assigned in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the program. Maintain, oversee and care for supplies and equipment. Support tuition and collections efforts of financial account. Complete Incident Reports for any injury that occurs and advise Supervisor immediately. Ensure compliance to program budget, meet enrollment targets, oversee costs for daily operations, and complete monthly reports. Manage invoices and contracts with partners in a timely manner to ensure on time payment and compliance. Grant Funded Sites: Manage spend down of program budget in alignment with grant requirements. Quality and Compliance Support collection and maintenance of all state required paperwork. Manage lesson plans, enrichment providers, partnerships and activities for ongoing implementation and use. Ensure children are assessed twice a year and implement program improvement plans with the utilization of this information to guide practice. Support professional development plan evaluation; monitor timeline and provide coaching and support for achieving goals. Demonstrate knowledge of and agreement to abide by state licensing mandates and SUTQ/STARS. Show initiative for continued professional growth and skills development. Internal and External Collaboration Support relationships and partnerships with the school and community and provide timely and effective communication. Maintain confidential information about the program, families, children, staff and the agency, at all times. Demonstrate professionalism, principles of teamwork and have a positive attitude in the workplace and in the community. Develop positive relationships with children, families and co-workers. Model the attributes of acceptance of diversity, nurturing behavior, cooperation, respect, and responsiveness. Grant Funded Programs: Stay informed and up to date on resources available within the community and opportunities for partnership. Grant Funded Programs: Participate in school partnership meetings. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to read, speak, and write English
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Prior experience working with young children commensurate to responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, bend and move about easily
  • Must be able to walk up and down steps.
  • Standing on feet and working with children 90% of the time.
