The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND. As a Part-Time Student-Software Engineering/Cybersecurity for JD World Headquarters located in Ames, IA, you will: Be a technical member of an agile software team and contribute to feature delivery Design, build, test, deploy, and operate security software solutions Find, investigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across the enterprise Create, implement, and manage Cloud Infrastructure and security controls in our AWS and Azure cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Experience in at least one programming language

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a Technology related discipline; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university
  • Graduation date of May 2027 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 10-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Ames, IA daily basis year-round
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical member of an agile software team and contribute to feature delivery
