Requirements

  • Pursing a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Ability to work 16-20 hours weekly during the academic year
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
  • Strong communication skills
  • Well organized with effective time management skills
  • Graduation date Spring of 2027 or later
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
  • This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, efficiency, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
  • Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
  • Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing.
  • Assist in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans
  • Provide day to day shop floor support for Transmission departments.
