About The Position

The Part-Time Store Associate/Cashier/Stocker position at ALDI offers an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing grocery stores in the nation. This role involves acting as the face of the store, collaborating with team members to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for customers. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, processing customer purchases, and providing high levels of customer service. The position is part-time, with fewer than 30 hours per week, and offers a starting wage of $18.50 per hour with scheduled wage increases over the years.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Effective time management skills
  • Knowledge of products and services of the company
  • Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
  • Processes customer purchases and performs general cleaning duties
  • Stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
  • Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
  • Provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
  • Participates in taking store inventory counts and monitoring inventory for accuracy
  • Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
  • Stocks shelves and rotates product properly to guarantee fresh product availability
  • Follows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays
  • Organizes new inventory and removes/breaks down empty boxes
  • Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures
  • Assists with Curbside Shopping orders
