About The Position

Part Time Sorter – Fort Dodge, IA Are you looking for part time summer work? What You’ll Do: Operate and perform changeovers on the depalletizer machine. Verify sorting accuracy and visually inspect tin plate sheets and ends. Communicate with forklift drivers regarding sortable and non‑sortable materials. Maintain the HFI area and resolve random tag issues. Sort plain and coated tinplate sheets and prepare bundles for transport. Keep accurate daily records of all sorting activities. Move tinplate bundles throughout the facility using a forklift. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Prepare scrap sheets for external shipment. What You Bring: High school diploma or GED. Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Basic skills with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong time‑management skills and a reliable work ethic. Physical Requirements: Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended periods. Adequate upper body strength to push/pull tools and adjust equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable being in constant motion for 50–70% of your shift.
