About The Position

The Penn State Student Media Network is seeking a motivated, creative undergraduate student to assist with content planning, creation, and posting for the organization’s Instagram account. This position will also assist with analytics gathering and creating reports.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and enjoy interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
• Candidates must have experience with photography and multimedia content.
• The position will require some availability during regular office hours as well as attendance at events, which may fall on evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

• Preferred qualifications include a working knowledge of the Instagram platform and experience with Canva and/or Adobe software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Penn State Student Media Network on developing and executing the content strategy
• Capture and edit photos to be used as Instagram Feed posts
• Capture and edit short-form videos to be used as Instagram Reels
• Write captions and design graphics as needed for posts
• Collect data monthly and assist with analysis and reporting
