Each interaction with workshop participants, faculty and fellow staff members, creates the Omega experience. Part Time Staff: non-exempt, part-time; on average 21-28 hours per week. Reports to Assistant Director of People & Culture, and department Supervisors where work hours are assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position functions on the Omega campus. This is a part-time position, 21-28 hours a week, depending on operational need. The day-to-day schedule varies, work on transition days (Friday and Sunday) frequently required. Split shifts may be assigned. Part Time Seasonal Staff live in tenting areas on Omega's campus. The individuals are assigned a platform that is tarped to provide rain coverage. Staff bring their own tent (no larger than 10x10).

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work hours may be performed in multiple departments (i.e., Dining Hall, Housekeeping, Dishwashing, Campus Support, Production, Garden, Main Office, etc.)
  • Part Time Staff must possess a willingness to ease in and out of various departments, as operational and staffing needs dictate.
  • Ability to follow directions and be adaptive to different management styles, team dynamics, independent work, and scheduling.
  • Attendance at staff meetings, when applicable.
  • Reporting to assigned shifts on time.
  • Performing the required amount of work hours each week, 21 (minimum) to 28 (maximum).
  • Keeping track of assigned work days/hours.
  • Wear the required attire for work (i.e., Omega provided staff shirt, slip-proof shoes, closed toe shoes, rain gear, warm layers, etc.)
  • Other duties as required by the supervisor.
