As a part-time Sales Associate at New Era’s soon-to-open NYC Flagship Store in SoHo, you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and bringing the New Era brand to life. You’ll engage authentically with customers, support daily sales goals, and help create a welcoming, energetic environment on the sales floor. Your passion for people and product will help build lasting connections and memorable shopping experiences that reflect the spirit of New Era.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify customer needs and match them with the right products to drive sales
  • Confidence in communicating product value and promotions to boost performance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Patience and professionalism in handling returns, questions, and concerns
  • Perform regular store maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning, to maintain a welcoming store environment.
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including climbing ladders, bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting or carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods of time
  • Ability to safely operate store equipment, including Heat Seal and Hat Blocking Machine
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with the Store Manager and team members to achieve goals
  • Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Support a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
  • A minimum of four (4) years of retail sales/cashier experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer experience and sales performance
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding, personalized service to every customer
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of New Era products to help customers find the right fit and style
  • Address customer questions and concerns with professionalism and positivity
  • Maintain productivity and performance expectations as outlined by store leadership
  • Support in-store initiatives related to brand activations, community events, and high-traffic retail operations
  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals by actively engaging customers and promoting current promotions or featured products
  • Support the store team in achieving overall sales targets through effective teamwork and communication
  • Maintain visual and merchandising standards by restocking, folding, and organizing displays as needed
  • Follow daily store operational procedures, including POS transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and inviting store environment by completing regular housekeeping duties (e.g, sweeping, trash removal, etc.)
  • Participate in regular product trainings and team meetings
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Maintain compliance with New Era Cap timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling policies
  • Adhere to loss prevention, safety and security guidelines
  • Works collaboratively with the store team and may step in to support other functions and areas of the store as needed to meet customer and operational needs
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned
