About The Position

As a team member at Michaels, you will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping our store, and help them find what they’re looking for. You will ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Your duties will include completing truck unloading and merchandise tasks throughout the store, maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Additionally, you will participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes, and be responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance, ensuring a well-merchandised and in-stock store. You will also support shrink and safety programs, adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and interact with others in a respectful manner, promoting commitment to the organization’s vision and values.

Requirements

• Preferred retail and/or customer service experience.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
• Remain positive and respectful in difficult situations.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
